At the far end of the beach and from the apartment garden you can
see the old volcanic activity from long ago, known locally as the
Rocha Negra or 'Black Rock'. Behind the beach are huge, stunning, multicoloured sandstone cliffs.

The beach at Praia da Luz has been awarded its own Blue Flag
and has life guards on duty most of the time. The beach is good for
many different kinds of water sports provided by 'Algarve Watersports' and 'The Beach Hut', which are two centres both located on the beach.

Basically whatever your taste - you will find something to suit
you either in or very close to Praia da Luz, with the relaxed and
friendly town of Lagos and all it has to offer nearby at just 5km away.

Just like Lagos, the year round good weather makes Praia da Luz an ideal base for travelling around the Western Algarve.
